pigs gone wild

not too long ago I had mentioned to my girlfriend that I wanted to see a wild pig. a couple months later, I got my wish. I had just started out up injun creek trail at greenbriar (the trail has another name, but I can't recall it), and about 30-40 yards away I heard a loud snorting sound. I looked down and saw a large black clump of fur. Thought it was a large bear at first, until it turned and ran away. short, stubby legs and distinctive snout. just about scared the heebee jeebies out of me. I was frozen for a few moments. glad there was only one. very impressive animal.

What you need in that situation is a...never mind...I guess that was a heck of a day, eh?! I think the last time I saw a live boar outside of a zoo, I was a kid back in the 70's. Would love to try some nice wild boar meat.
