And I couldn't stop to fish! I had nowhere to land!

My dad and I rented a plane with a long time friend of ours so I could fly, and I couldn't think of anywhere better to go than to the Caney! So, rather than tell my story, I'll show you.

just when you thought that you had discovered fly fishing as the most expensive hobby in the world...you learned to fly!

Actually, I've been around planes since I was 2 weeks old. I've known I was going to be a pilot since I was about 2 years old, and I'd watched Top Gun so many times by about 5 years old that I could tell you all the mistakes in the movie. Aviation is my life, always has been. I've always had expensive hobbies, paintball being the main one. I've honestly spent about $4k on paintball stuff, I bought a used gun that retailed for $2,000 when it came out for $800 on Saturday, it got here yesterday. Fly fishing is nothing, because once you get a good foot in the door it becomes cheaper.

But yesterday was the first day I've really been turned loose in a plane. Randy had me do turns, and gave me pointers for smooth flight. He is a 757/767 pilot for American Airlines, and my dad is an Airbus A320 pilot for JetBlue Airways.

I'll be scared s***less HAHA! I'm not TOO much of an adventurer, about as far as I go "adventuring" is a trip up to the Caney alone, which is hardly an adventure. It's too vast out there, I feel lost and VERY small.
