Default San Juan Worm Ball

I was wanting to let everyone know about this great stocker pattern...the San Juan Worm Ball. Someone showed me this pattern several months ago and Ive been tying it ever since. I use a #14 curved stone fly hook with a bead to match. Then some small brown and red chenille. When I'm finished I curve the ends with a lighter. It works really well

Looks good to me Troutslayer...the old San Juan Worm AKA the speghetti and meatballs of trout are life savers. Are you going to tie the San Juan Worm Ball at Troutfest?

Sure Tarheel. I am looking forward to see what you have to tie. Have you ever been to Saluda before. I love that town. Especially the fly shop and the Barbecue.

I have drove through Saluda but I haven't explored it yet. From what I've heard it's a historic and small little town in the mountains. I have to admit, it would be a GREAT place to retire. Sure beats the hustle and bustle of Charlotte, NC.

According to the 2000 census there's 575 people in Saluda. I'm guessing half of them are have left for warm, sunny Florida.
