Default San Juan Worm Ball Step by Step

Step 1:Wrap red thread 2/3 way down hook shank.

Step 2:Tie in one 1 and 1/2 inch brown piece of chenille

Step 3: Tie in one piece of red chenille with a loop in it (gradually work your way up the hook shank with each piece of chenille)

Step 4: Tie in piece of brown (Each piece at a different angle)

Step 5: One more piece of brown

Step 6: Use a match or lighter and hold against each piece of chenille DO NOT TOUCH MATCH AGAINST CHENILLE

FINISHED FLY

I am just curious. Have you caught a ton of fish on the ball? Does it produce more than the traditional or two tones? Headed to some trophy trout water and always looking for something new. This could be the ticket.
any info would be a great help.
Thanks,
Wade

Tarheel. Way to jump in. I have not read you on here all week. I was beginning to worry something had happened to you. Nice tie on that worm. I like the way it looks better than the traditional.

It tends to catch stockers more than wild ones. Ya Tarheel I thought you had gotten swallowed by a Davidson river bow
