Default Check out this Crawdad Claw from Hazel Ck

Makes you wonder what size of crawdad was connected to this claw! We believe the claw is about 5" long. We found it on the bank on Hazel Creek last summer betwen the ghost town and the dry kiln. Anyone else seen a crayfish this large? It makes you wonder how many fish have fallen prey to it. I am glad I had wading boots on!

Are you sure that isn't a lobster? I have seen some big ones on the cattaloochi (probably spelt wrong). But none were that big. Glad you had your camera along with you for the pic.

Has any of the "hot stuff" from Oak Ridge, drifted east? Did it glow in the dark?

My son just asked if they make steel toe wading boots!

That thing is huge. I'l love to see the rest of it.

We need to get some photos of that thing and post signs during "tubing" season:

Warning - Habitat of Smokey Mountain Attack Lobsters - Wade and Float at your own risk"

Jeff

Even better...we could get some of those signs from pigeon forge that say This body of water contains high concentrations of fecal bacteria (e coli) and post them on the west prong of the little river. That might solve some of the tubing/tourist problem in the summer
