I haven't lost faith in the Caney. I missed countless fish, one nice rainbow about equal to my dad's. I hooked into him and saw a flash of shaking silver and the hook popped free.

I was trying to take a picture of the bird and it got a lot more than I expected.

Good looking pic. I could see that on a calander somewhere. So I take it that the caney is definately doing well.

I noticed it didn't take long for you to bug out when we arrived The water fell out and the boat almost got stuck. It definitely seemed like you were practicing your cast more than fishing, you can toss that line a good bit!

Photobucket dumbed it down a little, but it's better than I expected. The Caney has always been an excellent fishery, but this trip the trout almost seemed "dormant." They were kinda slow, I think it was because of the water temp.

Now you tell me! Naw, it wasn't so bad. I was grinning when he swam after that fish, because heck knows I would. And then it changes to he got beaten to death and I was like "WHOAH "

But the only times I've gotten teary eyed was during I Am Legend when he has to kill Sam, his dog. I have a German Shepherd-Rottweiler that looked a lot like Sam. I also cried like a baby during Marley & Me. Anything having to do with dogs, my pup is my best friend.

I hear ya. My female lab died last year and I cried like a baby. She was a rescue. When I found her, she head heartworm, was full of fleas and ticks and was 25lbs underweight. Apparently her abuse caused too much damage. She died at age 8 1/2. I got her at 3 1/2. She would not leave my side wherever I went.
