Default Howdy Y'all

Please pardon my ignorance, I don't get over to the eastern side of TN very often and was not aware of this board. A couple of different members here told me I should sign up so here I am.

Very cool! You guys and gals have a lot of stuff going on. I just learned of Troutfest, I'm going to try to make it.

I was once in business in Franklin, TN. These days I spend the winter here in Murfreesboro, and the summers in Montana. I fish a little and do whatever to keep the bills paid.

I have recently gotten interested in beginner woodworking projects. I'm starting on beginner stuff to practice up because I have the itch to build a drift boat.

I tie some of the worst flies I've ever seen, and I've seen thousands of flies, everyone of them better than mine, though many friends have tried to help me.

I'm a grandfather and that is one of the most fun things I have ever been.

I think the last time I was over in east Tennessee was 5 years ago. My wife grew up in Greeneville and we went there for her grandmother's funeral.

I'll sit back and watch and try not to step on anybody's fish in here.

Welcome to the board, Ron.

Everyone, Ron is working on a Project Healing Waters fundraiser in Mid-TN. We'll help out any way we can, Ron. Just let us know what we can do.

Paula

Thanks for the welcome and the offer of assistance.

Treecatcher2, thanks for your interest. I'd be glad to tell you what we are working on. I guess the proper place to post is in the conservation and clubs area?

Ron

welcome. my fly club here in bama is getting together some stuff for the healing waters projects and the founder of our club will be working at it. I lost a friend to breast cancer a few months back and wear the pink braclet all the time. Hats off to you, keep up the good work and I think I can say freely, please post some pics from the healing waters project. I would love for everyone to see how our hobbie helps so many others.
