[feather&fly]

I fished the river over the weekend with my step son Colton, who just turned 9. It was his first time fly fishing and we had a blast. The fishing was kind of slow but like the old saying, ' It's not all about catching fish you know".
We did finally get into some right before dark. A small caddis hatch was coming off and I caught 6 or 8. Most were between 8 -11 inches, but the biggest was right at 16. Colton also caught his first trout on a fly rod, so that made the trip worth while. We ended up keeping 4 rainbows for the grill Monday night. Those were the first trout I have keept and ate in a while, man those dudes were good with coldslaw, beans and corn bread. anyway here are a few pictures.
