Default TWRA and 2010 Regulations

Once again we have an opportunity to let TWRA know what we would like to see in regulations. They do this every year and they do listen to a general consensus. At any rate, here is our chance to speak out and respond to an invitation to do so.

Thanks for bringing this up! I hope everyone will send in their comments. If everyone will remember the discussion on the Caney, please keep that in mind and send in any ideas you have for improving or even just ask that regulations be adjusted to continue to enhance the fishery. A river full of trophy browns is distinctly possible if we could get better enforcement and a slot limit like they have on the SoHo.

This part is key and I would make it even more specific, asking for better enforcement during the fall when the large fish are most vulnerable. I'm hoping for either an increase in the minimum size limit (current regs have produced a river full of 17 inch browns) or a slot limit like the SoHo has (release all fish 16"-22"). Either of these would help increase average size...
