We fished the Holston just below the dam yesterday afternoon. Caught 5 bows in the 10 to 12 inch range and 1 brownie about 12 inches. This was the 1st brown we've got in the Holston. I knew they were in there but never caught one yet. I was using a elk hair caddis dun #16.

That suprises me to hear that. I have only caught bows in the Holston.
How is fishing up by the dam. I generally fish lower down near Blaine. |

I caught a Brown in thew Holston near nace's Ferry last year. There are a few Browns in there.

I floated the Holston last Monday with flat-fly n down from the dam and caught 5 smaller browns and about 10 rainbows including 1 bow about 17" all were caught on. Size 18 fbpt.
