Just got back from a week in Colorado and Wyoming. The fishing started off slow, but picked up and got better each day.
I have a lot of video, but I quickly threw this together. Hope you enjoy, bryan http://vimeo.com/5822746 Last edited by Labrador; 07-29-2009 at 01:28 PM.. |

Look forward to the full version.
Although, I doubt it can top "into the smokies" from last year. |

Looks like you got some great video...can't wait for the rest! What type of video camera are you using and would you recommend it to someone else? I've been thinking about purchasing an HD video camera for awhile now and hope to do it within the next 6 months. If you have any other advice to consider when purchasing one I would appreciate it. Feel free to shoot me an email if you don't want to post everything here...

Canon HF100. It's a year old.
I like it, but the AVCHD format is a bit cumbersome to edit. The camera is very small and can hold two hours of video on a SDHC card (16g) which is pretty good, and the video is decent enough. I know there are new versions of it, so I can't say what's good and what isn't out there today. Pros: Small light easy to use SDHC cards are cheap and easy to carry around Video is pretty good AVCHD is compressed HD so it looks good, but takes up less space Cons: AVCHD is an editing software Crasher, you gotta learn some tricks I know there are better cameras out there, but I haven't had any complaints about this thing so far, just the editing part, and once i hammered out all the dents with that I have been ok. I look at B&H photo and see what the new stuff is, and then do a vimeo search for each camera. You can see what people can do with whatever camera. I don't shoot on tripod, and I know I should, but I carry all the fishing stuff, video camera, and a DSLR, so I feel like a pack mule and any further stuff would kill me. |
