We had very good participation in July, let's keep in going in August.
I will go ahead and add my entry. Clinch brown caught today on a midge larva pattern. ![]()

ChemEAngler, nice photo. What kind of camera do you use? I never can take pictures with that kind of clarity.

Jimmy,
Thanks. Actually I have started taking my DSLR to the river with me for that very reason. I have a Nikon D40, and this was taken with the 18-55mm kit lens w/ a 52mm circular polarizer. I have much higher quality lenses, but haven't been brave enough to take them to the river yet. If this lens gets ruined, then it really isn't that big of a deal... I carry it inside my Fishpond Dragonfly pack with a SealLine SealPak down inside my Fishpond in order to make the entire setup water tight. I have been talking with other FF'ing buddies who sell their pics to the magazines, and they recommended I start carrying my DSLR and the difference would be seen immediately. I have to agree with them. For some examples of what good DSLR streamwork looks like, go to Zach Matthews website and look around. Some stunning work there. Edit: Sorry if this is long winded, but I get a lot of people asking me why I take such a large "fancy" camera to the river. Thought I should at least try to explain why....

Wow, thanks for the reply! I have a lot to learn about cameras, but would like to have one that takes those kinds of pictures. Maybe one day!

You sure it's a large mouth? I was told the mouth opening had to start behind the eyes. Hmmm.
