Nice picture Pete! Love those small streams full of native cutts. If we're ever in CO at the same time we need to meet up and fish some of those little creeks. Have you made it to the one I mentioned last summer?

No David, unfortunately I still keep wishing about that trip. I had three teenagers with me this time and two of them caught their first fish on a fly. We stayed in the Flattops area the entire time, but someday I want to get to the more central areas we talked about last year...I keep hoping we will get there sometime...
I will post a report about this latest trip at some point in the next few days. We just got back home last night so I'm still a bit foggy from sleeping on the ground for 6 straight nights with the coyotes howling.... I need to hit that Salmonfly hatch at some point as well...(the bucket list keep getting longer...)

Nice catch Pete. Now that's one way to throw a little variety into the OFPMC.... Congrats.

![]() well it's not a trout but i hope ya'll will accept it. there is still trout in the creek but the rain has had it out of its banks and muddy for about a week. water has stayed around 70F and the stocked rainbows are eating crawdads and getting big. caught one last week on a PA that went 16" and he's still in there. just hard to get a fly that deep in the one (hiden"just say no to corn")hole. smallmouth clear creek ky (looking like a class IV rapids) water temp. 68F brown woolly bugger (aka crawdad) i will try harder next time for a salmonid |

Blue, I'm 99% sure it's a largemouth. The camera angle is kind of strange and the bass has it's mouth partially open. When closed, the back of the mouth would be behind the eyes. Also, this particular lake only has largemouth, black and white crappie, various sunfishes (bluegill, green sunfish, rock bass, etc), grass carp, channel catfish and the occasional other fish that someone has released (Koi, goldfish, etc). It's a fun little lake to fish (22 acres and 45' deep in the middle). Jeff |
