Default Caney wildlife

It's not all about catching fish.

I am enjoying an abundance of wildlife on the Caney Fork this year.
Quite often I am pleasantly distracted from my "serious" fishing by seeing movement out of the corner of my eye.

I have had blue herons almost land on me in the early a.m. fog.
I had a blue heron dive at a rainbow that I had hooked.
I walked right up on a beaver early one morning.
I see river otters and mink regularly.
And of course lots of deer and wild turkeys.
(Oh, I almost forgot the Middle TN state bird; the buzzard, or turkey vulture.)

These are some of the added benefits to quietly wading in a beautiful setting.

I am so thankful that I can enjoy such an uplifting experience.

William
