That bow was just being bashful but sure was pretty. I thought that second photo really showed off the colors. It was just the cleanest looking fish if that makes any sense.
That caney brown sure is pretty with those big bright spots. I think I am going to have to come up to the Caney fork this fall if I get the chance. |

David,
As the Bee Gees once said, "Stayin' alive." Nicely done. gmr, I understand the "clean" description. That is definitely one "clean" looking bow. Colors are almost pastel. Beautiful fish.

#14 Yellow Stimi Upper Hadlock Pond Acadia NP - Maine ![]() Acadia NP is not really known for its fishing (the rest of the state is outstanding), but I convinced my wife to let me take the fly rod along and give it a shot. I wound up fishing from the banks of a pond in the park at sunrise. It would have been much better with a canoe, but you make the best of the opportunities you have... ![]() ![]()

Nice work on the brookie in Acadia Pete, I am heading up there to stay near Bar Harbor next month for a few days. Did you fish a lot of other places up there?

Have you ever been up there before? Shoot me an email if you'd like. This is the 8th or 9th time we've been to MDI. Lots to do and see. Based on acreage, it's the most visited Park in the country, per acre (thought that was a funny statistic considering how much traffic we have in GSMNP). petecz at charter.net

Pete,
I've got to get crankin' - you're now a state ahead of me. Nice brookie. Good to have you back in the shadow of the Smokies. Might be hitting WPLP soon; are you up?

My first rainbow ever (except for the family trout farm visit) in Deep Creek, on a bead head nymph, and a new bamboo 4wt. I'm STOKED!
