That bow was just being bashful but sure was pretty. I thought that second photo really showed off the colors. It was just the cleanest looking fish if that makes any sense.

That caney brown sure is pretty with those big bright spots. I think I am going to have to come up to the Caney fork this fall if I get the chance.

I understand the "clean" description. That is definitely one "clean" looking bow. Colors are almost pastel. Beautiful fish.

Acadia NP is not really known for its fishing (the rest of the state is outstanding), but I convinced my wife to let me take the fly rod along and give it a shot. I wound up fishing from the banks of a pond in the park at sunrise. It would have been much better with a canoe, but you make the best of the opportunities you have...

Braton, there are lots of ponds (lakes would be a better description) on the interior of the island that are stocked in October (Checkout this link for the 2008 stocking http://www.state.me.us/ifw/fishing/r...kingreport.pdf - go to Hancock County). If you can get your hands on a canoe or a kayak, you would have a better shot at catching some nice landlocked Salmon or bigger Brook and Lake trout. I only fished for a couple of hours (it being an anniversary trip with my wife....).

Have you ever been up there before? Shoot me an email if you'd like. This is the 8th or 9th time we've been to MDI. Lots to do and see. Based on acreage, it's the most visited Park in the country, per acre (thought that was a funny statistic considering how much traffic we have in GSMNP).
