Bassin'w/mouse

Anyone have any luck on bass using a deerhair mouse?I've tied a couple of these for practise but haven't had oppurtunity to cast one yet.Crawling one over lily pads and thru openings seems lilely to be the ticket.

They will about rip the rod outta your hands at night over a mouse pattern. I love to fish one at night. That is really the only time I have ever used one. I throw it across and up slightly and steady stop and go with it not stopping long so i can keep a tight line. Listen and hang one. When one hits it is hard and you can get some nice ones this way as well. Hope this helps.
