Default Fly Fur

Pardon me folks if this has been addressed before. I live in So Louisiana and am new to the fly tying game. I just watched one of Lefty's fly tying DVD's and he used a material on a shrimp pattern that I can't find. He called it Fly Fur and said it was better than Craft Fur. The DVD is several years old, do any of you know if Fly Fur now has a more politically correct name?

I just now googled it and found one reference, says aka Craft Fur.

Thanks Steve, what I need to do is go to Cabela's or Bass Pro and take a look at what they have on the shelf.

BTW, Gail and I have kinda fallen in love with your part of the country. We took the Beginners Fly Tying Class at LRO under Brian. We have had a chance to fish the Holston, So Holston and a little in the park. It has been fun.

One fortunate thing about salt water tying and fishing is that the fish are a heck of a lot less picky in the brine. I have chased em in the US and in the Bahamas and the reality is, presentation and make it look kinda like what they like. Now i know the permit boys will go nutz on this but we ain't talkin permit! So for reds and trout, and bones close certainly counts. shrimp and crabs they love em all clousers are great just get the color down, but more than anything find the fish and put it in their face!
If it swims throw a fly at it!

Bob- Check out craft speciality stores (like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.) if LRO doesn't have it!
