Default Winter Fishing in Pigah

I wondered how the winter fishing was on Avery Creek and the Davidson during the winter months. I was able to fish in pisgah a few times this past year and really enjoyed it. I think I enjoyed avery creek the best. Never saw another person on the water when I fished it. I was told I could use the same egg flies I use for salmon/steelhead in michigan, for catching browns down here. So I wondered if any of you guys go up there and fish in the winter months, and how it would differ from in the summer. I had a lot of success on avery this summer/fall with a stimulater with a bead head hares ear. Thanks.
