Seeing how I have to drive all the way to the Smokies pulling a travel trailer from New Jersey, timing is very inportant.

This coming May will be my fourth spring heading down there.

Granted I do not fish the GSMNP no where as much as these gentleman on this board, however, I have come to believe that mid-May if you have to select one or two weeks of prime fishing in the park it is the time to be there.
