Guys and Gals,
I got my new Pontoon today. ![]() ![]() The full story about assembly adventures and lots of photos is on my blog: http://kyflyfishguy.blogspot.com Once I get it wet, I'll post a review (let's just hope I don't get too wet in the process). Jeff Last edited by jeffnles1; 03-25-2010 at 08:49 PM.. |

![]() I can't wait to get it on the water. Of course, I woke up to about 2" of snow on the ground this morning. Jeff |

Very nice boat. I look like a monkey trying to ride a football in one of those things. However they are very nice and I hope you get many hours of enjoyment from it.

Thanks. I hope to get it out on the water this week. I need some good tie down straps for my van and, in all honesty, I need to work up the nerve to actually go out in the water on the thing. I'm anxiously looking forward to it. Today,it was really windy and I didn't think I should take the maiden voyage on a windy day with water temps in the low 40's at my local lake.. Jeff Flyed I also like the verse you quoted. I like verse 11 too. Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. |

Hey, I follow your blog (and commented yesterday on your post asking for an on-the-water review). Hope the pontoon works out for ya.

I just posted an update on the blog today showing some photos from the maiden voyage.
The good news, it's a very comfortable boat, very stable, and I didn't go swimming. The bad news is I didn't even get a bite on the first day out. So, a future blog post will show off all the fish I catch with my new boat ![]() Jeff |

I've had the pontoon out several more times this spring and so far am really happy with it. I bought a trolling motor for it. just need to get to the court house and get a license. I took it out once with the motor but didn't have it registered. Sweated bullets the entire time around the lake hoping I wouldn't get a ticket.
I've been rowing it and quite honestly for small lakes, the motor is not necessary. For larger lakes or going against the wind, the motor is going to be real handy. It car tops (OK van tops) easy, it's light weight, only drafts a couple inches of water and handles well. Only drawback I can see is it gets blown around by the wind becuase it is so light and drafts such little water. I'm getting used to that though and am learning how to position it so I drift where I want to drift. Jeff |
