Silvercreek, I've been told about these in the past. I need to try them out, thanks for reminding me.

I love my smartwools! Yeah, I know for sure that wool dries faster than cotton. Cotton sure loves to hold on to water. I just always hear about how peoples hands stay warm in the winter wearing wet wool gloves. I've never experienced this phenomenon.

This is a great thread and I have learned a few things. I will be getting some quick dry nylon pants and under armour before I head out Monday.
I always wear cotton, and those times I have dipped my waders, I stayed wet forever. |

I also have some heavy duty Filson wool gear that my dad has handed down to me, and I can tell you for sure that a good wool coat or sweater will definitely continue to retain heat well when wet unless it is soaked.

I'm OK as long as my fleece man thong matches my socks

Hey, if you're in to saving weight, I guess a man thong is the way to go. I didn't know they came in fleece!

Under Armour is nothing but a marketing brand name. It is not worth spending extra for the name. The Starter brand stuff at wal-mart does just as good.
