Just Got Home From 3 Day/2 Night GSMNP Backcountry Trip

This was my first solo trip and I enjoyed it. Caught a few rainbows and 8-10 Brook trout. It was beautiful up there, can't wait to go back.

None of any size, but I had a blast. I lost more than I caught, they were mostly smacking the flies and not really taking them.

ifish4wildtrout--Looks like you were in Pretty Hollow, from the appearance of the campsite and the specks. Whether you were there or somewhere else, you can readily see why the folks living there were devastated when the Park was created. It's sort of the N. C. equivalent of Cades Cove.
