Grannyknot and I had decided last week that we would go and poke around over in the Greenbriar area today.

We met up at 5:30 this morning to beat the heat. I told him that I might be a little slower than usual today. The wife and I did the Boulevard Trail yesterday and my legs were just a little bit tired this morning.

Things were a little slow for a few minutes then the fishing picked up a bit. Great day overall and it's always nice to go out and catch one or two.

We ran into a good number of these guys.


Pretty good sized rainbow for the stretch of stream it was pulled out of.

Grouseman failed to mention the one that had its way with his tippet and got away. He let out a hollar like he had been bit by a rattlesnake.

I almost lost my camera, trying to do a fancy pants underwater shot, the fish decided to set the dropper hook right into my index finger and I dropped the camera and watched it take off downstream. Somehow it got hung on a rock and I was able to retrieve it....extremely lucky.

I'll add some pictures to this soiree.
