Been hunting warmwater species all month long. Here is my first redeye of the year from Little River on one of Byron's special stealth bombers.

Justin,
This trip is the first of the year where I caught a redeye. My other warm water exploits were on waters where I was specifically targeting smallies, bluegill, or carp.

I only fished from around 2:00 to 3:30 and think I brought 5 redeye and 2 smallies to hand. Although I missed plenty more fish on the black stealth bomber Byron gave me. I tried a couple other colors, but I think they were targeting this one because it was a very good imitation of a black cicada. Saw some hefty bronzebacks, but spooked them all. I am anxiously awaiting my next trip to the river, and I will plan on being out there shortly after sunrise next time.
