Hello! I'm heading down Friday evening for the LRO entomology class on Saturday. Hope to fish Saturday PM and Sunday AM. How far up to I need to be fishing to get into some "cooler" water and catch fish? Suggestions around Elkmont (my campground)?
Thanks!!! |

Hello,
IMO, anywhere above the campground will be fine as far as temps., the farther you walk upstream will get better, it's just a matter of how much walking you're willing to do in the heat. Jake's Creek is another option as well. Fish Camp Prong is a good option if your willing to walk around four miles. Good luck, Neal |

I fished LR and Fish Camp a few weeks ago. Both were a little slow, but fish were caught. As Pineman said, the higher the better. # 18 para black ants worked well. Good luck.

To echo Chuckwalla... Grannyknot and I fished Little River this past Saturday. It was pretty slow. I would take a serious look at hiking on up the trail as pineman suggested or finding another stream.
