You know how when things have been extra stressful how something like meatloaf and mashed potatoes just takes the edge off and makes you feel a little more human again? Well, on Friday, I went to one of my favorite spots to fish after a week that was frought with stress - just needed a break.
My spot blessed me with two trout in the first 5-10 minutes. All in all a beautiful day with a double digit catch (none of them extraordinary) but my virtual "meatloaf" did the trick. Got away for a few hours, forgot the stress of the week, was physically spent at the end and much better equipped to come back to reality. Thank God for fly fishing (and meatloaf).

I know exactly what you mean Charlie. Sometimes it is nice to have a spot at the dinner table.

Man your post says it all I can identify
. I find myself worrying about all kinds of stuff like the lack of rain lately. Today we were supposed to get rain and it didn't come. But I know the good lord will provide and I shouldn't stress about it so much. There have been floods and droughts for thousands of years and we are a mere flash in the pan in all of that time. I love meatloaf and mash potatoes thanks for the post Charlie!

I'm with you, Charlie. Man shall not live by stress alone.
