Ok I tend to get carried away when I tie, It's something I sometimes enjoy and sometimes hate to do. For me I tend to stick to brighter color beads when tieing pts, gold and copper being my two fav. When tieing midges I like using black an silver. So my questions are; do you guys tend to catch fish using say a black bead head pt or a gold bh midge? I tie some black bhpts but I don't tend to tie alot of them or fish them that offten. And same gos for my midges.
I guess confidence has alot to do with it also. Let's hear what you guys think.

For fresh stockers I use gold and copper beads...but for more finiky streams like for example (Davidson River) I think that the fish see flashy stuff so much that they get put off by it. My all around favorite bead is a black/gunmetal color.

I like Copper and black depending on the sun or if bugs are hatching I go to black for pre-hatch stuff.
