Made it out last weekend to do some feeshin. Recipee for staying cool is high elevations and cold water. Lots of fish doesn't hurt either. I don't keep an exact count but if I was a bettin man I'd say between the two of us we caught 100+ throughout the day. Elevation was around 4500-5000 ft. Water temps were 60 degrees f. Flies of the day for me were TN Wulff on the top, green beadhead inchworm. My partner in crime had luck on a Palmer in several different colors, with yellow being the one to produce the most.

![]() Cascade ![]() Pretty cool set of waterfalls ![]() ![]() All in all it was an awesome day in God's country. Our great state of NC has some truly beautiful places and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather spend a day off work (till bow season anyways). |
