Does anyone know of a nearby campground in the area of the Chattooga River or in and around Cashiers or other settlement ? Thanks in advance for any information

Van Hook Glade on the Cullasaja river in NC oustide Cashiers. Burrells Ford right on Chattooga in Ga. Cherry Hill in SC, Black Rock Mountain in GA. Just google this terms and you should get all the info you want. Van Hook Glade in NC is probably the closest to Cashiers.

You can camp at Woodall Shoals for free. Only been there a couple of times, but I think that there are spots upstream also that might work as well. Others may have better answers.

Oconee State Park in SC, its close and has good restrooms, water, etc.

Cherry Hill is out of walhalla if I remember right there a logging trail straight across road from campground entrence if nothing has changed. There lots of good water and you probly have the river to yourself in some spots.
