Default Soho 9/18

Fished the Soho with my buddy Grampus on Saturday. As usual, he caught 3 fish to every one I did. Fun day throwing dry flies to rising trout on the 4wt.

the browns were full of fight.

average bows

lots of pretty fish in the river.

troutman-

Thanks for sharing the photos with us, that is a nice brown. The underwater shot of your brown is a great way to show off the catch.

By the way, I'm probably going to buy a waterproof pocket camera to take on fishing trips with me, and I was wondering the brand & model number of the camera you used.

Thanks

Bill

Thanks Bill, I bought this camera back in late March. it was just released this year. It is an Olympus Stylus tough 6020. I ruined my last dig . camera after it got wet and finally found a nice shirt pocket camera for fishing and general usage. Takes great HD video also.

I like taking the underwater shots. It mutes out all the harsh shadows from bright overhead sunlight like the last picture.

The SoHo is sick; those Browns will hit anything with their killer instinct. The trick is whether or not you are going to make them work for it. A fish will only exert the exact amount of energy or less per bait potential. Sometimes I have to drop my dry flies right on top of them and at other times I drop a streamer and twitch it and let it sink in the current. I love that river...
