Default Where to fish tomorrow??

I have one day left to fish. I planned to go to either Beech Flats or WPLP but guess they are as high and fast as Little River. Any suggestions?

Barbara, I would not count LR out, may be a good day for streamers. It depends on what you want to do. Maybe some of the tribs to some of the waters you mentioned above.

Thanks No Hackle. I am no good with streamers, wish I knew how to fish them on days like this. May try a small stream somewhere or nymph the Little River.

Rog 1,

Left the camper before I read your suggestion. I nymphed Little River above Metcalf Bottom, tough wading for me, only 2 rainbow to hand. Switched to attractor with dropper. Saw a nice fish in Elkmont Campground but couldn't get a cast due to overhang, finally spooked it. I'll check on him again when the water goes down a bit.

Met a guy who told me about the cemetary near Jakes Creek. Went thru it, then briefly fished Jakes. One nice brown. Water still high and fast. Was getting late so headed home. Next trip I will find where Jakes enters Little River and fish up from there. Jakes is small but every pool has a fish or two and it is great fun. Should have spent the afternoon there.

Lots of new parking back there and guys working on the old club house. Has the Park Service decided to save some of those buildings?

Hey Barbara glad you had some luck up there. Yeah the park is preserving 18 of the structures in Elkmont and letting the rest go. Here is a link talking about it and a link to the plan:

Barbara....at least you were out on the water and did manage to catch some fish which is a plus....Jake's Creek is one of my go to waters when then main river is blown out...the lower section is quite fishable up to the bridge leading to the cemetery...it opens back up above the trailhead and offers some accessible water....
