Default drift boat anchor

Lost a pyramid anchor ,couldn't free it off bottom and ended up cutting rope, below the pavillion on the clinch 2 weeks ago.Left side downstream 10 yards from bank . Land mark : there are 3 trees on bank each spaced out allmos evenly [tree in middle] about 100-200 yards down fron pavillion.white rope and chain on anchor.
If any body finds it please let me know.thanks
jose
any body have an extra one for sale or knows where to get one locally?

Get you a mushroom anchor, available locally at most sporting good stores. Much cheaper and the next time you loose it, you won't have lost as much.

Hopefully your pyramid anchor was not full of lead shot.

I think that BPS sells a 12lb pyramid anchor back in the fly shop with the pontoons.

that said, I would just use drag chains or a cheap window weight.

Jose, I have an extra mushroom anchor you can have if you want it... I have started using a chain-ball for my anchor. It works great and it has a reduced profile in regards to getting hung up on shoals.

truchin-

A window weight is a counterbalancing weight that was used inside of double hung windows years ago. It was usually a long cylindrical shape out of cast iron that was connected to the window sash with thin rope on both sides. The weight looked like a fat long cigar. The weights were concealed in the jambs of the window frame.

They don't use them anymore, as modern windows use a retracting coil spring to counterbalance the weight of the sash.

We make ours. It's good to have a fishing buddy who is a fabricator.

Dude, that is some p@$& beer and the old person I could remember ever drinking it was my brother in college when he was super poor.. It tastes like a hint of vinegar, some water, and plenty of backwash.
