Default My last Red of 2010

I was able to talk a friend with a boat into going fishing on the 31st, and managed to catch one more red for 2010.

I caught it on a mud minnow pattern I tie. The wind was up a little, and it was tough finding the fish. Several schools that we did see were getting thrashed on the bank by maurading dolphin, and were in no mood to eat. We had a couple of tries at some real spooked fish late in the afternoon, and I managed to catch one.

A couple of other fisherman that we spoke with had a better day. Two different groups caught about 10 a piece, however one of those was on spinning and fly fishing gear.

Randy,
The fishing has been really good. It was a little windy the day I went out, and the Dolphin were really killing them, but we still managed to find a few.
