Thanks for the video link. While I was aware of the midge having gas in the shuck as it ascends, I was struck by how bright the head is. The "U" shape of the midge against the film was great info. Thanks again. Silvercreek

EAXACTLY! I never knew it was that big and bright and to be honset it looked JUST like the flies I use.

The way it wriggled to the surface got me too!
