Park Service fisheries management is again presenting "An Update of Fisheries Activities in Great Smoky Mountains National Park" March 3 at 7 pm in Townsend. The meeting will be held at City Hall in the Old Townsend School Auditorium. See Byron's recent Fishing Reports for a PDF with more information. I think those who attend will be impressed. I know I got a lot of good, new information at the one I attended last week.

Is anyone going to this? If so could you post some of what they share. I am interested but work and the 10hr commute keep me away from hearing what is being presented
Thanks in advance |

I attended the Wears Valley presentation and would be at this one, but am working out of the area. Those of you who attend will not be disappointed. Please take note of the extensive sources and research partners cited in regard to river otters and the resulting data... especially the diet study percentages. Pay particular attention to events that have led up to the Lynn Camp Prong situation. (Suggestions on the forum of incompetence got too much ink in my humble opinion.)
Try to be there in support of Matt, Steve and all the biologists for all the work they are still doing, including support of us anglers, in spite of the lack of funding and all else that is going on in government today. Finally, when you are asked questions by them, answer as best as you can. Show you care beyond a splattering of applause at the end. JF Last edited by JoeFred; 03-02-2011 at 09:39 AM.. |
