Default Tuesday on Tremont

Thanks to the gentleman, I think his name was Chuck, at LRO. He suggested I try a nymph with a soft-hackle dropper and some weight in between the two. The larger rainbow took the nymph and jumped twice, hooking the soft-hackle in his butt. Made for an interesting retrieve.

Caught 5 rainbow and had 1 early release. Also, for the first time, a very nice lady ranger with a huge pistol checked my license. I had already bought my new one and handed it to her which caused some momentary confusion.

That was a really big gun. What do they carry, 444 magnums?

Knik,

Well, success on Tuesday. On Sunday I got zero, zilch, nada. Fished from Metcalf up to Elkmont. Water was cold. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

great looking fish. Glad you were able to get down there and get some fish and photos. Going through withdrawal here. It has been Nov since I went anywhere and Nov was the stocked stream a half hour away

Streamhound,

I understand your withdrawal. Had not been fishing since Thanksgiving. This was the worst winter in years. I started having daydreams about cutting a hole in the frozen solid goldfish pond and icefishing. That's bad.....
