Default Caney Fork

I was wondering how the Caney Fork was fishing? Last I heard, last year, that the dam repairs had negatively impacted the fishery. I ask because I may be in Nashville in April.

The Caney has been fishing very well this year, especially on float trips throwing streamers. Unfortunately it looks like all the rain will keep the river pushing water for some time to come meaning it might not be fishable for a month or two at least unless you have access to a boat. If the river is at a good level then it should be great...

The US Army Corps has been working the dam release on a "water in-water out" philosophy and that philosophy "can" negatively impact the river. But, if there are no rain events right before you arrive the fishing should be fine. So bring some rods and waders. You should be here for some good springtime fishing for trout and other species that migrate during that time of year.

Here is a link for a map that will help with wading access and boat ramps.
