Post Clinch Report: 4-17-11

The Clinch was fishing decent today after the sun made it over the mountains. The midges turned on very fast and the fish were very active in their holding positions. There were a few fish rising; but, they were limited.

90% of our fish were taken on a #20-22 olive green midge on a drop of about 12-16". They were taking a few midge pupa...but, not as consistently as the midge larva. So; a basic midge with a small tungsten bead and some dark olive thread would have you dialed in to the hatch.

The water temperature was 54 at our location and tea-stained.

Hope this helps....
