Anybody wet wading yet? We are gonna take a few nights this weekend to hike in to a campsite and fish but am not sure if the water was still too cold to wet wade. Do not want to carry waders if I do not have to.

Been wet wading since April. No way I would be hauling waders around. With the highs getting in the 80's the water feels good.

What site are you camping at this weekend if you don't mind me asking.. At this point I am going to be solo Saturday and Sunday night, but would enjoy meeting someone from the board if you wouldn't mind a straggler..

I am with these guys I ditched the waders a couple of months ago. Even then it wasn't so bad but now there is no need at all for them. I will say that even on a mid July day last year when it had been 90 degrees for 6 weeks solid I saw 2 guys in waders standing in the middle prong up tremont when it was hardly a trickle because of no rain. Those guys must have been burning up.

I would take some zip-off pants and use them for wading. They work great and keep you from getting scratched up. If you plan on getting in the water to crotch level; bring some waders in a pack. The biggest issue you will find is having the ability to climb easily over rocks, etc.
Now; fishing tail-waters pretty much requires waders if you are waste deep. I usually leave mine at home from June-September unless I plan on doing some deep wading.

I wet waded this weekend and it felt good. I use those neoprene footies with my boots. Then again it was warm in the park.
