Fished down there this morning and lost a monster on the same pattern.

Saw you coming out as I was leaving.. I fished on up from the church and landed 5 and had several come off. Lost a real good one that came unbuttoned. Was using #18 midge.

I will be the only one on the river with a metal Richardson chest fly box.
I saw your pictures on another thread with that big bow.
The clinch has been tough this summer but if I catch one fish a day over 17" it's enough for me. Those big bows fight like nuclear powered freight trains!

Yeah that metal chest box is what I recognized. Next time I see you I'll be sure to come by and chat. Yeah those big bows are a blast, I caught that one last week on an emerger. What's the story on that big bow there? Looks like a dandy.

Nice brown! Great photos and story. I have always marveled at small flies catching such big fish. Let's see, need to check the map and see how far is it to the jail.

I met you last summer after you had caught the 23", you had a hard copy pic of the fish in the trunk of your vehicle that you showed me and another angler. I saw you from a distance during the height of this years sulfur hatch , recognized the fly box, you were hauling in another nice one by the looks of it, I wasn't doing all that great that day at the Church and I headed to the house shortly afterwords.
