[Video]:Fly Fishing For Trout - (Debunking the Perfect Drift)
Here is another underwater video I shot last week on the Clinch River. It is shot in about 3' of water on 0 generation cycle. You will notice that the benthic life is moving in all directions. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7ikzMNIRDA It is amazing how well white midges and grubs work. ![]() Move your cursor/pointer over the video boxes to view my annotations.

Shawn, thanks for sharing this with us. It's amazing to see this much underwater activity in "0" generation condition. Most of us never even stop to think about what goes on underwater.....Thanks Bob

Great clip, and I think the dead drift aspect on the Clinch anyways has more to do with keeping the fly down then it drifting perfectly with the current. JMO.
I know that over the years a really windy day usually results in really good fishing, and I have always felt it was because it gave the fly some minor movement in the water column. |

Personally; I find fishing slow and static drifts very challenging. It seems that patience plays a key role in landing fish during these conditions.
