I am thinking of getting a one-man boat with a trolling motor to float the Clinch or Holston. What kind of boat should I be looking for?
I like the idea of the inflatable pontoons, because I could deflate it and put it in the trunk of the car. I would get a little trolling motor for it. Do these work pretty well on the tailwaters? |

The only negative is that you are closer to the water and have less clearance in your back-cast. Other than that; they are great for getting around on the river.

I started looking at the Pelican Predator 103 online today, and it looks like a pretty good little boat. Anyone have experience with it?

I have used them in various sizes over the years from single man, two man, and three man catarafts.
IMO after using both the Scadden and the Outcast, there is nothing that compares to the durability of the Outcast, not even close. They are more money, but are by far a better boat. |
