Default Favorite places to eat / see while in Townsend?

I have been coming to Townsend now for years but I am finally making it up to Troutfest and bringing a fishing buddy who hasn't been before. Byron's mention of the Townsend Shopping Center in the Fishing Report got me to thinking if there were other places in Townsend that I may have missed. I understand the Phillips 66 has good biscuits in the mornings. I really enjoy the locally-owned, small-town atmosphere in Townsend but am thinking I may have over-looked some local favorites. We're staying at Dock's and love that little place. Any recommendations for good local places to see or eat while in town?
Thanks,
Jed

I thought Troutfest was over? Anyway, I like Ms. Lilly's and Riverstone.

Jed, about 2 yeasrs ago Crockett began the great thread "Where do you eat on the way to fish the park." On Page 5 there is a compilation of the contributions by the members. In it there is a section for Townsend, Wears Valley, Walland, etc.

Joe,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I guess I need to start a new thread "places to see and things do in Townsend besides fish"!
Thanks
Jed

I like the bisquits at Phillips 66, but I love the chili dogs.

Ms. Lilly's
The BBQ place attached to River Rat.

And of course see Crockett's thread here:

Enjoy Dock's - great place. I stayed there the first time two years ago on advice from Ethan, though Sharron (the owner) admitted to bribing him with Christmas cookies. Though I have visited most of the Townsend hotels; after the first stay at the Docks, I haven't been anywhere else. Last October and my Wife's Uncle was trying to talk Sharron into adopting him. Go figure.

Try the Heritage Museum (think that is the name) up on the hill on the south side of the highway. It shows life in the area many years ago. It is very interesting!

favorite place to eat in Townsend: Subway to go and head for the river. You can eat when you get there.

Favorite places to see in Townsend: The fly section at Little River and the Y as I decide which way to go.
