Hopperized Bass!!!
Here's another contribution to help wake things up around here! I made it out last weekend for a couple of hours. In addition to some big bluegill, I also found some bass that wanted to play!
   The fly of choice was a hopper pattern I tie that bears a strong resemblance to the Chernobyl Hopper. One of the bass wanted the fly twitched and the other hit after it sit for about 7-8 seconds. You just never know with bass, or at least I don't 'cause I don't fish for them enough. Topwater action like this could get addicting though. The lake is only 3 miles from my house and perfect for my canoe. I sense some more trips in the near future!

Very nice David! I hope you are able to stay cool out there... I thought about hitting up some lake fishing as well this upcoming holiday.

Looks like you found a nice spot. There is nothing like the yank from a bass or bluegill.
