Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts! This is going to be a big adjustment for me but am looking forward to some new fishing holes. Maybe I should start renting rooms to traveling fishermen...
Extra $100/night for info on big fish.....hmmmm.... ![]()

And the Smokies trout rejoice....
![]() - seriously though - I was wondering if you were going to make a farewell post. It has been a pleasure to fish with you on those rare ocassions where our schedules seemed to line up, and all the discussions regarding fly tying, hiking, and camping that we have had over the past 6 years. Best of luck to you in your career and fishing pursuits in Colorado, and keep in touch whenever you have an opportunity. I pray you have many blessings and enjoyment in this chapter of your life, and continue to be the excellent steward of our sport that you have proven so many times to be. Don't hesitate to rub our noses in some wonderful trip reports from that other beautiful piece of this country. Take care bud.

David,
Good Luck on your move. My current wife is from Colorado. I am hoping she will relocate there again in the not so distant future. Brock and I have a place near Grand Junction (we rent it to a guide school during the spring and summer). When I'm out there (mostly during bow elk hunting season), I'd love to show you a couple of high country lakes near the place. |

Travis and Darrin, thanks for your thoughts and prayers. They are much appreciated and needed...
![]() Don, I love that area on the West Slope. You fish the Grand Mesa area? I have been up there once but did not get to explore much. The Gunnison River down towards Delta/Montrose is one of my all time favorites...you must feel fortunate to have a place in such an awesome area! Would love to meet up with you out there sometime...
