Default American Anglers Jan/Feb 2013 Issue

Check out page 50, there are three of my flies on that page, part of an article on Lowcountry Winter Redfish written by Bryan Bowers. The first one is my LC Shrimp that I caught my last red on.

John-

Very cool! Love those flies.

American Angler is one magazine that I truly look for to show up in my mailbox. I'll probably re-read mine again today. Dallas got hit with a snow & ice storm on Christmas Day. Roads are treacherous, and my driveway is one solid sheet of ice. Won't be going anywhere until the ice melts.

Thanks for posting.

Bill

The funny thing about the LC Shrimp is that the origin's of the fly was a blog/online article I read in late 2008 about a craft fur shrimp. As many interations as I have had with my pattern, I have never tied it with any craft fur. I had some EP fibers that I had gotten, and never used, and I had this crinkled nylon that was tannish in color, and that is what I used initially for the fly. Over time I changed it as I ran out of material (never could find any of that crinkly nylon I had used), and started with the silky fibers, and that is what it is today.
