Finally got one.....

Got something I have been wanting since troutfest last year. A very nice and realisitc brook trout carving to add to my collection! I absolutely love this piece and Mr. Wiley is a very kind and gracious person. Check his stuff out!

Thanks, I see that you're not far from me. I also see birdhunter as your interests. I am a new bird addict. What do you hunt?

Mainly quail. Some pheasant. I don't get to go but about once a year now with a older gentleman who is like a dad to me. But just getting to go then with him makes a day on the field a blessing.

I just went on my first quail hunt about a week ago, and I am HOOKED! I am hoping to go again in the next month or so.

Beautiful carving. Paula and I have one too. I met Jim 20 years ago. At that time he and his wife sold antique tackle at shows. I bought a vom Hofe reel from him at that time. At some point, he decided to become a carver. His work is magnificent. He always donated a carving to Troutfest for the auction. What a great guy. You are a lucky person to have one of his carvings. Ours has two brook trout on a piece of driftwood. I look at it every day several times going in and coming out of the man cave.

Thanks Byron. I have never seen such a realistic carving. The painting is exquisite. Hopefully one of these days I can add one of the nice brown trout to my collection. Jim sure is a pleasure to deal with and one heck of an artist!
