The SYMBACORT Flyfisher on TV

Seems that once again a drug maker is exploiting fly fishers; this time it is SYMBACORT and they have this pretend fly fisherman telling us how this drug helps him fish and shows his grand-kids with him stream side!

Unfortunately the dope has a flyreel mounted on a spin rod. Duh, I just as soon stop breathing than be caught dead looking like a dork on TV.

Seriously don't like being EXPLOITED by TV advertisers.... it's as though putting a fly fisher on the commercial lends great credibility to the product.

I have seen that also. I laughed as I saw him pitch the bobber and line out by hand and then land a trout.

Ah, yes. Yet another left coast marketing gem. Why would the producer not think a trophy trout would rise to the presentation? After all, many land creatures out that way will swallow just about anything thrown at them.

Now on the otherhand, noted angler William Devane's commercial? Pure gold.

When I see those guys in the park, I call them poachers. Then I call the park rangers. Sometimes, they even catch them.
