My Daughter needs to know who Sam's creek was named after.

Coincidently, just today my grandson Sam and I started a water feature in my back yard. Even for us fellas it's a bit ambitious, but it's planned as miniaturized version of Little River watershed. It would have about six tributaries, one being Sams Creek. Okay, some you may be thinking... ol' Fred's becoming like Roy Neary in the '77 flic "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
