Default I wanna catch a White Bass

ON A FLY OF COURSE!

Just re-wired my boat trailer and will take the boat for a test run this week.... after that I want to catch a white bass..... hopefully a zillion of them.

Been told the upper end of Douglas is a good place to try; up in the skinny moving water this time of year.

Anyone been there and done that?

I'm really surprised at you Corbo, I thought you only thought trout were worthy of fishing for!'
White bass can be a blast to fish for on the fly rod. I prefer the rivers over the lake but if you can find them shallow, they can be caught on a variety of minnow patterns .......clousers, WBs, etc. If you get out early, they will hit on top with poppers, sliders, wiggle minnows. Its crappie season on Douglas, so expect to see a lot of boats. might even see me

2 weeks agot they were at the forks of the river near downtown knox....buddies were catching them on a white grub and bigger ones with a jerk bait...money says you will crush them with a sinking line and a white bugger or clouser....pause the retrieve

the warm weather may have moved them though........

if u wanna come to Chattanooga they are stacked up thick below Chickamauga dam

They are running! chart/white Clousers on a sinktip in fast water. This is from yesterday. lots of smaller males so far, but the bigger females are moving in also.

Hmmmmm?

Looks like they were attempting to supply a local Chinese Buffet with SUSHI fixings.
